We did a project called Father Daughter Adventure day. We invited Girl Scouts in our service unit for a day outdoors with their dad. Each girl in our group had a session that they were responsible for. One was native plant life, one was first aid, one was building shelter, and mine was orienteering. We spoke with experts and put together activities for the girls who attended to do with their dads. We had one of the station that was just for fun. It was making sling shots using sticks and rubber bands.

My session was orienteering. I worked with an expert named Megan Eidel. She has worked with Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast summer camp and she also lead girls on Orienteering trips at a Girl Scout camp in Arizona. Megan taught me how to navigate using a compass. Then, I created an orienteering scavenger hunt for the girls to complete with their dads. At my session the girls learned how to use a compass and then did the scavenger hunt. At each stop on the orienteering course, the girls found a part of their trail mix.
